Ben is absolutely right. The Civic Association at Roslyn Counttry Club, Inc. was founded in the Spring of 1950. (I was a founding member and helped write the bylaws. AS to an organization called Roslyn Country Club Civic Association, Inc., it never existed and the use of such name is unlawful. Also there is an email address of rccca@optonline.net which is not affiliated with either the real or the imaginary civic association. Confused??

Speaking as one of the home owners that will be included in the special district and is not part of the 620 homes that where part of the original country club members I support your concerns. In my case I have no interest in being forced into pool membership and strongly oppose the increase to my taxes. I feel that doing this with out my consent is clearly the clearest example of taxation without representation that I have ever experienced

I believe their organization is officially called “The Civic Association at the Roslyn Country Club, Inc.” and to my understanding, it has been around since the 1950s.

According to the Secretary of State: there is no Roslyn Country Club Civic Association, Inc, or RCCA. Inc or any variation thereof. Nor was there ever such an entity.

Also tne new layers have withdrawn from representing the non-existent organization advising the group that what it was attempting to achieve was not legal

I was so happy to hear that TONH bought the 7.3 acres in Roslyn, It’s great because TONH now has a place to build senior housing. All they need to do is transfer 1.5 acres to the North Hempstead Housing Authority and then the NHHA can re-open the recently locked up Alvin Petrus Park in Port Washington. Its a win win for North Hempstead, Seniors and the kids who lost their park in Port Washington.

Let’s all congratulate Supervisor Jon Kaiman for figuring out how to house seniors and reopen a park with one purchase of land.

I am so pleased to let you all know that we are rebuilding our RCC, which will reopen as a park district in Summer 2013. Many thank to the wonderful RCC board who worked tirelessly to make this historical site a reality for our community.

I remember Sam & Ray, the shuffle board courts behind the locker rooms, the ping pong table in between the 2 locker rooms, the gate, the high diving board, the 14 feet, the guard room, Radical Stewy, the green tennis shack and the tennis signup board with the green wax pencils
